Motivating Youth

The latest nonprofit organization, Motivating Youth which is located at Macon Housing Authority’s Family Investment Center, is currently benefitting from QCS’ Technology Access Program. QCS provided over $7,700 worth of free services and devices to Motivating Youth.

“Since Brad and his team came in, we’ve had many people that have been impacted in a good way,” says Roger Jackson, founder of Motivating Youth (MOYO).

QCS installed over 80 computers, more than any other after-school program in Bibb County, according to Jackson. Eight computers that were at the center were rebuilt by the staff at QCS and given to families in the community.

Chief of Resident Initiatives and Facilities Director for the Family Investment Center and BMC for Macon-Bibb County Housing Authority, Karen Middleton says: “I can say that we have had a long standing relationship with Quality Computers through the Connect2Compete and ConnetHome programs. [Their] contribution of providing devices at a low-cost for our public housing residents, nonprofit organizations, and the community at large, has been very beneficial.”

In today’s learning environment, technology is used more and more by teachers. From online testing to educational resources, students need access to computers. Over the past few years, QCS has equipped organizations including the Board of Education, Disability Connections, Boys and Girls Club of Central Georgia, Connect2Compete and many more with desktops, laptops, printers and tablets in addition to other computer services.
